There are benefits in being self-employed. First of all, it is possible to have a higher salary compare with a person who works for other people. When someone works for others, there is almost always a fixed salary per month that does not change but for a self-employed person, the benefit of the business can be much more. Secondly, if the person is smart and makes good decisions, it will be possible to make progress at work and go to a higher level. It is more difficult to make much progress for a regular employee and the result of their hard work is difficult to see, but when they work for themselves the benefit will be clear and immediate. There are, however, some drawbacks to think about. First of all, a self-employed should work much harder than a regular employee because there is much more to do. They normally have to do different things and a lot of responsibility to take, which means much more than 8 hours of work every day. Secondly, this kind of work involves more risk since they will see the negative effects of every single decision they make. If a self-employed person makes a bad decision, they will lose money or a customer and there is no one to support them. They mostly make decisions alone with less time to discuss the issues, so there is also more risk of making a wrong decision. (120 words)

Being self employed has some advantages. First of all, self employed people will have higher income. Someone who works for others has only a fixed salary per month and if this person works very hard, he/she will not earn a higher salary, but people who are self employed, generate more profit and they are motivated to work hard and they work tirelessly to make more money. Secondly, working time is flexible for a self employed person. Self employed people either can start and finish the work in their own time or change their working time depending on the workload, but people who work for others should keep regular hours.
There are, however, some disadvantages.First of all self employed people have more responsibilities. They should do everything with a great care and they are responsible for every mistake, but a person who works for others has less responsibility and they do just a piece of work not the entire.Secondly, this kind of work usually needs a huge investment. A self employed person should pay a lot of money providing a workplace, equipment and instruments, but a person who works for others just benefits from the company’s or office’s support and service.
