The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Currently, the sports centre consists of a central 25-metre swimming pool surrounded by a gym to the north, a seating area to the east, and changing rooms to the west. After redevelopment, the most notable changes will include the removal of outdoor courts, replaced by a variety of indoor facilities.
