On the other hand, opponents of this view highlight the potential negative outcomes of frequent disputes. Constant arguments may create emotional distance and damage the parent-child bond, leading to long-term issues such as alienation, anxiety, or even rebellion. For these reasons, critics advocate for harmony and open dialogue rather than confrontation.

In my opinion, some level of conflict is not only inevitable but also beneficial, as long as it is approached constructively. Suppressing disagreements entirely may hinder emotional growth and limit the development of independent thinking. Instead of trying to eliminate conflict altogether, parents and teenagers should focus on navigating disagreements with empathy, patience, and mutual respect. This way, conflict becomes a tool for deeper understanding rather than a source of division.
