کمبریج آیلتس 16 تست 2 – سوالات اسپیکینگ
.
✅ PART 1
• Do you have a favourite flower or plant? [Why/Why not?]
Yes I like roses because they are so beautiful and delicate and a symbol of romance. I also like tall trees like pine because when I was a child, we used to go cycling in some national parks not far from Tehran full of pine trees. I still love even looking at them.
.
• What kinds of flowers and plants grow near where you live? [Why/Why not?]
Well, at the moment I live in north of Iran and this place has a humid weather with a lush environment. You can see a large number and variety of plants but mostly orange trees of different types and every autumn a large number of them is exported to the rest of the country and abroad.
.
• Is it important to you to have flowers and plants in your home? [Why/Why not?]
I believe if you have enough time to water and take care of them it can be a good idea. I personally do not care and it is very difficult for me to keep the because every year I move to a new place sometimes to a faraway place, and it is really difficult to move the plants with me. It’d be a hassle really.
.
• Have you ever bought flowers for someone else? [Why/Why not?]
Yes I sometimes bought flowers for my grandmother when I was a student. Only a few times but she loved them. My wife also loved flowers so I bought some for her too. She kept them for a few days and tossed them away later, which I guess is the normal procedure with flowers. I also gave roses to the last girlfriend I had. She loved it so much. So I can say I have bough flowers for different women to make them happy and they were very happy.

✅ PART 2
• Describe a review you read about a product or service.
You should say:
where you read the review
what the product or service was
what information the review gave about the product or service and
explain what you did as a result of reading this review.
Here I am going to talk about a review that I read some time in the past about a gadget on the Internet. I was going to start producing educational video content for our website and for a new YouTube channel that I was going to launch almost a year ago. I starting reading about different professional microphones and I started to compare their properties and capabilities. I read about how great the quality would be if I had this device and how I could adjust it for different environments.
It sounded perfect for my project and I narrowed down my list to a specific model and then had my girlfriend order it online. It was close to the new year in our country and they said the post service is so unreliable these days and chances are they simple deliver you the device in broken pieces. But I was so moved by the review and the prospect of the change it could brought about that I ordered it anyway. Eventually it was delivered without a problem and I was able to use the long holiday we have in our country to produce the content I had hoped for.
While the result was far from a freakish success that some people may expect while purchasing such items, I recoded the noiseless sound for some of my videos that I can claim has been viewed thousands of times ever since. I believe the review was essential in the decision I made and I am happy about it.
.
✅ PART 3
• What kinds of things do people write online reviews about in your country?
Almost everything! I believe Iranians are good observants and tend to voice their concern when they see injustice or inefficiency. Likewise, when a product or service succeeds in showing the desired quality, they report it and encourage others to use the same service or good. I have witnessed a lot of such cases and I am sure online reviews is a true reflection of whet they have experienced and such reviews are almost unlimited.
.
• Why do some people write online reviews?
Well, the reasons vary but I believe they take the time to show their satisfaction or report what they have found substandard and hope that this feedback warn the people in charge to do better. Some others may only enjoy doing this and do it for fun not necessarily because they feel responsible or emotional at that moment.
.
• Do you think that online reviews are good for both shoppers and companies?
I do. When a poor service is given, shoppers and companies are not those who are dissatisfied and rarely they change anything because it is the right thing to do. Instead, a change happens when there is a danger for humiliation or financial loss and these days more than ever before, such bad reviews can get out of hand and go viral if it is gross enough, so they have to be much more careful compare to the past because people who do the reviews are impossible to confine. Likewise, when people praise them for what they have delivered, it is like saving thousands of dollars since they do not have to go for expensive ads to promote their image or bring back their sales figures.
.
• What do you think it might be like to work in a customer service job?
I am not so sure but you should expect a lot of dissatisfied people if you want to do that in our country. People call for problems day and night and expect things to be free or vert cheap but unfortunately reality is most of the time far from it. But as I said I am not so sure, there might be good times or these people may actually have a good time. Making friends or manage to start a relevant second business and double their salary before the age of 30 since most of them start very young.
.
• Do you agree that customers are more likely to complain nowadays?
I totally agree with this statement. People expect far too much these days. As a result of a lot of unrealistic advertisement and so much competition among producers and service providers, customers expect a great and dreamy service at such a low price plus free maintenance for months after the product is delivered. This produces a lot of dissatisfaction and conflict and it is not very hard to see it specially in large cities. On top of all that, people know how to hit the brands hard and quickly go online and give them the worst reviews as soon as they can. When you read some of them, you easily see how unrealistic is the picture they have of the manufacturers and retailers.
.
• How important is it for companies to take a customer complaints seriously?
I believe it is important to look at the pattern and not to focus too much on the worst comments. Obviously, some comments are made while customers are frustrated or furious and I believe people are mentally unstable at those moments and what they say is not necessarily true but overall views are crucial to be analyzed and top priorities to be determined for evaluation and correction. It is a fact that in my country people only comment when they are dissatisfied but even inside such comments there is gold hidden if you ask me. For such points to be revealed, you need to hire experts and pay them handsomely, but these complaints freely lead to the source of the problem, so they need to be taken into account.
