Progress for an easier way of life can be traced back to thousands of years ago. While some argue the development will inevitably mean the disappearance of our old skills and traditions, I believe these two can coexist in different ways. (50 words)
Some say progress in technology for a given country will eventually force traditions and old ways of doing things out of people’s lives. Technology always aims to make things around us both easier and more efficient, so it directly targets the traditional ways of doing things from household chores to routine tasks in our work places. Examples of these are celebrations and festivals that although may not have kept their original religious spirits but still a way for local people to be proud of their ancestors and a way for their culture to express itself. (129 words)
In conclusion, while some maintain that technology and tradition are incompatible, I believe there are ways in which progress can even help our customs and skills survive. (27 words)
