Additionally, owning a car offers greater flexibility in terms of travel time, enabling individuals to leave and return at their own convenience. This freedom of movement is a luxury that public transport often cannot provide, especially during rush hours when buses or trains may be overcrowded.

Furthermore, there is a strong cultural attachment to car ownership in many societies. In some places, driving is seen as a symbol of social status and personal success. People are often unwilling to give up this symbol, despite the environmental and economic benefits of using public transport. Additionally, public transportation is not always perceived as a comfortable or reliable option, especially in cities with aging infrastructure or poorly maintained services.
