Nevertheless, the tax should be part of a broader strategy that includes education, subsidies for healthy food, and transparent labeling.

In conclusion, although there are valid arguments on both sides, I believe that sugar taxes are an effective and justifiable tool to promote public health. However, they must be implemented carefully to ensure they are fair and supported by complementary health initiatives.
