The bar chart specifies how four European countries spent differently on 6 groups of consumer goods.
Overall, while Britain seems to have the biggest figures for all categories, none of other countries show a clear pattern of spending more on all categories.
It appears that Germany had the overall lowest spending on six categories of goods shown, with highest being Tennis racquets at about 150 thousand pounds Sterling (TPS) and Photographic film the lowest at only 143 TPS. The other country with almost the similar spending pattern is Italy, which mirrors the Germany’s spending pattern with the exception of Toys and Photographic films, in which the gap widens and respected figures for Italy for them amounts to just under and well over 160 TPS respectively.
Britain spent the largest amount on every single item shown, with photographic films being the largest amount of all categories among all countries (over 170 TPS) and personal Stereos being under 160 TPS but still ahead of other countries. France did spend more than both Italy and Germany on Photographic Films and CDs but even less than them on Tennis Racquets and Personal Stereos, 150 and 155 TPS respectively.
