تفاوت نوشتار و مکالمه یک انگلیسی زبان یا استاد کاملا حرفه زبان انگلیسی و یک زبان آموز تازه کار بیش از همه در به کار بردن لغت ها و ساختارهای زبان انگلیسی از سوی ایشان است و همین ساختارها تعیین کننده تفاوت بین نمره های 6 تا 7 آیلتس و 7 تا 8 آیلتس هستند. هر چه زبان آموز در به کار گیری درست و بدون خطای این ترکیب ها کارکرد بهتری داشته باشد، به سطحی بالاتر از زبان انگلیسی و در نهایت به سطح یک انگلیسی زبان نزدیک خواهد شد.
